DR Philemon dordoe

Dr Dordoe qualified in 2012 from Peninsula Dental School, Universities of Exeter and Plymouth, Devon and was part of the second cohort in what was then a brand new dental school. He has other degrees in Zoology and in Biomedical Science, providing an excellent foundation before studying dentistry. He also previously worked as a clinical data manager with some GP practices in the South London area. After graduating from dental school, he completed vocational training (DF1) in Wales then worked for a couple more years in the idyllic settings of Pembrokeshire before making a return to London.
Dr Dordoe took over SDA Dental Studio in 2019 and provides general dental services including routine restorations, tooth-whitening and short term orthodontics. He is trained in the provision of C-fast, Clear braces, clearsmile aligners, invisalign and Inman aligners. However, Dr Dordoe’s passion is primarily in implantology. He completed a basic certificate course in dental implants with VSS in
London, before completing the advanced course with Dentale in Shrewsbury. He is currently enrolled on the postgraduate program with University of Central Lancashire. Dr Dordoe has completed other courses in implants such as the full arch and teeth in a day course, ridge splitting, the Versah course, sinus lifting using the CAS and LAS kit among others. He has successfully passed the exams to be a member of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons and was also inducted into fellowship with the International Academy for Dental-Facial Aesthetics. Dr Dordoe is a keen student of the art of dentistry and loves to keep up to date with current dental techniques and innovations. He also enjoys working with children and managing anxious patients. In his words,
“I want every patient and child to have a pleasant experience in the dental chair and enjoy coming back to maintain healthy teeth and gums!”
Outside of dentistry, Dr Dordoe is a partner with cornerstone partners who work to provide support for people from under-represented communities to start and fund their own businesses and start-ups. He is a leader in his local church and enjoys cross fit. He was an amateur boxer for many years. He loves going out for rides on his motorbike and also has a keen interest in music. He enjoys playing
his bass guitar and was a previous member of various philharmonic choirs in Devon and Wales including the Plymouth Philharmonic, Swansea Philharmonic, Cor Dyfed and Crouch End Festival Chorus. Dr Dordoe is married to his beautiful wife Natalie and they have one son.
