What Are Dental Veneers?
Dental veneers are wafer-thin porcelain laminates fitted over the surface of your teeth to dramatically improve the appearance of imperfections. Handcrafted by specialist ceramists, each veneer is artistically layered to mimic the natural form and contour of the tooth.
Once bonded in place, veneers are indistinguishable from your natural teeth — and function exactly like them too. They bite, chew, and look completely natural in every situation.
Porcelain Dental Veneers in Tower Hamlets
Porcelain is the material of choice for dental veneers for good reason. It produces a natural-looking finish that catches the light exactly as natural enamel does — creating a smile that looks genuinely bright without appearing artificial or over-white.
Porcelain is also highly stain-resistant, meaning your veneers will maintain their colour far better than natural teeth exposed to tea, coffee, and red wine. They require no special care beyond your normal oral hygiene routine.
Veneers can also be used to close gaps between teeth where orthodontic treatment such as Invisalign® is not suitable — making them a versatile solution for multiple cosmetic concerns simultaneously.

Dental veneers are handmade porcelain or ceramic shells, artistically layered and crafted to mimic the natural form, contour, and translucency of the teeth. Each veneer is created by a specialist ceramist who has spent years mastering the technical and artistic skills required to produce a completely natural result.
Veneers can address a wide range of cosmetic concerns in a single treatment. Common applications include improving discoloured or stained teeth, repairing chipped or worn enamel, correcting uneven or misshapen teeth, closing small gaps between teeth, and improving the overall symmetry and brightness of the smile.
Veneers placed and fitted correctly can last 10–15 years, sometimes longer. They require no special care beyond your normal oral hygiene routine — regular brushing, flossing, and six-monthly check-ups are all that's needed to keep them in excellent condition. Avoiding habits that risk chipping (such as biting nails or chewing pens) also helps maximise their lifespan.
Once bonded to the tooth surface, porcelain veneers become extremely strong — comparable in durability to natural enamel. The bonding process integrates the veneer with the tooth structure, meaning they function and feel just like natural teeth when biting and chewing.
Veneers are bonded to your teeth using a specialist dental adhesive. A small amount of enamel is typically removed from the tooth surface first to ensure the veneer sits flush and looks natural — this is a permanent alteration, which is why the decision to proceed should be made carefully. Once placed and the adhesive is cured with a special light, your bite is assessed and any final adjustments are made before you leave.
